BUILDING

LONG-TERM

VALUE FOR ETH

Ethereum is the most decentralized and credibly neutral smart contract platform that exists today. The ECF aims to facilitate its adoption by offering research, content, and products to bring more users onchain.

The ECF is committed to increasing the price of ETH.

ETH price has been overlooked for too long. The ECF is here to change that. We are mission focused on growing its value through education, funding, outreach, and ecosystem support.

Funding Philosophy

Infrastructure that increases ETH burn will be prioritized. Projects that externalize value through dilutive governance tokens, extract rent from users or minimize ETH’s role will not be funded. While the EF funds public goods and experimentation, the ECF funds price-aligned systems and infrastructure.

We are here to win

ETH is the economic engine of Ethereum.

Consumers should pay ETH, not utility tokens, to use dapps.

Dapps should earn fees in ETH instead of launching shitcoins.

Grant Eligibility Criteria

Projects must:

Be tokenless (no governance or utility token)

Maximally burn ETH

Implement immutable smart contracts (non-upgradable)

Deploy on Ethereum mainnet (L1)

Projects are disqualified if they use third-party ecosystems for data availability (DA) as opposed to using ETH blobspace.

Institutional Alignment

Ethereum adoption for banks and enterprises.

ECF will actively support institutions in adopting Ethereum infrastructure.

We will provide a simple playbook for institutions to build on Ethereum.

Ethereum can fundamentally improve how governments work.

Government Adoption

Ethereum can fundamentally improve how governments work.

ECF will engage with governments to educate them on use cases that can improve the lives of their citizens and make government more efficient.
